Fastening Solution

FixTech Innova fastening solutions represent a comprehensive approach that goes far beyond standard fasteners. We combine special thread types, pre-applied thread additives, joint locking and sealing, captive washers and optimised bearing surfaces according to the requirements of each specific application.

A properly designed joint can replace several separate components, simplify the design and reduce the number of assembly operations. The result is faster assembly, a lower risk of errors and reduced overall manufacturing costs.

From the initial concept through to custom development, we provide technological know-how, design support and application testing. Our goal is to create a joint that is functional, safe and at the same time efficient for series production.

Fastening in metals

Direct fastening in metals using TAPTITE 2000® threads

We provide fastening solutions for a wide range of metal applications. In addition to standard metric threads, we focus primarily on direct fastening in aluminium and magnesium castings.

TAPTITE 2000® is a licensed thread designed to form the mating thread directly during assembly. The combination of the Radius Profile® thread profile and TRILOBULAR® geometry allows the material to be plastically formed without conventional machining.

Fastening in plastics

Direct fastening in plastics using
REMFORM® II HS™ threads

We specialise in direct fastening in plastic components and engineering thermoplastics. For these applications, we use a specially designed thread profile that forms its own thread directly in the material.

REMFORM® II HS™ uses an asymmetric geometry designed for efficient thread forming with low installation resistance. Direct fastening can completely eliminate the need for separate metal threaded inserts in many applications.

Fastening of thin sheets

Efficient nut-free fastening of thin sheets

FASTITE 2000® is a licensed thread designed primarily for creating strong joints in sheet metal and thin-walled metal components. The twin-start thread facilitates correct screw engagement and enables assembly with low installation torque.

During assembly, the screw forms its own thread directly in the prepared hole. This eliminates the need for welded nuts, metal clips or other separately assembled components.

Special solutions – lead-in points

Safe screw engagement with
MATthread® technology

MATthread® is a thread lead-in design that helps prevent cross-threading and increases assembly reliability. It can be used in both manual and automated assembly.

Depending on the specific application, MATpoint®, Dog Point® or Very Short Point® variants can be used. The individual designs differ in the geometry of the lead-in section and allow the thread entry to be adapted to the available space and assembly method.

Special solutions – thread locking

Reliable locking of threaded joints against loosening

Protection against self-loosening is one of the key requirements when designing fastening solutions. We offer three systems prepared for direct assembly – PowerLok, F-caps and F-stop.

PowerLok creates a mechanical self-locking effect against vibration, F-caps uses a pre-applied microencapsulated coating and F-stop provides a reusable thread-locking solution. The appropriate solution can be selected according to the specific requirements of the application.

Special solutions – joint sealing

Integrated F-seal ready for direct assembly

F-seal is a range of sealing coatings applied under the screw head or directly onto the screw shank. The integrated seal can replace separate rubber washers, O-rings and other sealing elements.

Depending on the application requirements, we offer F-seal D75, D60, D40 and A50 versions made from different materials for different operating conditions. Individual variants can take into account factors such as temperature loads, long-term stability or the required flexibility.

Special solutions – pre-assembled components

Components prepared for fast and safe assembly

F-foam is a soft foam applied to the screw shank or thread, enabling simple pre-assembly directly in the installation position. The fastener can therefore be prepared for the next manufacturing step without the use of additional components.

Another option is captive or roll-formed washers under the screw head. Depending on the application, one or two washers can be positioned in a precisely defined location before final assembly.

Special solutions – custom solution

Multiple functions integrated into a single component

If a specific application requires a combination of several special solutions, we can integrate them into a single fastener. A simple screw and several separate components can therefore be transformed into one functional part ready for direct assembly.

We design the solution according to the customer’s specific design and assembly requirements. Where required, multiple shank diameters can also be incorporated, making use of the possibilities offered by multi-diameter screws.
