We provide comprehensive laboratory testing and analytical services in the fields of fasteners, heat treatment, surface treatments and technical cleanliness. Measurement results are clearly documented and the scope of testing is adapted to the specific requirements of each customer.

Laboratory Verification Based on Real Production Experience

Our specialised laboratories provide comprehensive testing and measurement focused on verifying the quality, properties and conformity of industrial products and processes. Our extensive experience in the production and inspection of fasteners allows us to combine measurement itself with a practical understanding of manufacturing and application requirements.

We use our laboratory capacities not only for FixTech Innova’s own production processes, but also offer them to external customers, suppliers and industrial partners. The specific scope of testing is always adapted to the technical assignment, applicable standards and requirements of the given application.

Our laboratory workstations comply with the requirements for internal laboratories according to IATF 16949, section 7.1.5.3.1. Results are normally provided in the form of an inspection report or test certificate containing an overview of the tests performed, measured values and their evaluation.

Quality laboratory

Precise measurement of dimensions, geometry and surface characteristics

We perform tests and measurements focused on verifying the dimensional and geometrical characteristics of products. Using available measurement methods, we inspect parameters that are important for the correct function, assembly and repeatability of manufactured components.

Our services also include inspection of selected surface and coating properties. We provide, for example, surface roughness measurement, contour measurement, coating thickness inspection and evaluation of Zn and ZnNi surface treatments.

Heat treatment laboratory

Verification of mechanical properties, structure and quality of processed components

The heat treatment laboratory is used to verify the mechanical and material properties of products and input materials. It helps us assess whether heat treatment or thermochemical treatment has achieved the required result.

We perform hardness measurements, case depth measurements, strength testing and detailed microstructure evaluation. The condition of decarburisation or carburisation, presence of delta ferrite, thread quality and other structural characteristics can also be inspected.

Why our technology?

Laboratory inspection makes it possible to link the resulting mechanical properties with the material microstructure and the heat treatment process. This allows comprehensive evaluation of the quality of the processed component and its conformity with the required parameters.

Corrosion resistance testing laboratory

Verification of functionality and corrosion resistance of surface treatments

We perform corrosion tests focused on verifying the functional properties of surface treatments and their resistance under defined conditions. Testing helps assess the behaviour of the surface during long-term exposure to a corrosive environment.

The evaluation includes monitoring both white corrosion of the surface treatment and red corrosion of the base material. At the customer’s request, the test can also be supplemented by temperature conditioning.

Corrosion testing according to a defined procedure makes it possible to verify the actual resistance of the surface treatment and compare the results with the required criteria of a specific industrial or technical specification.

Technical cleanliness laboratory

Technical cleanliness analysis according to ISO 16232 and VDA 19.1

We perform analysis and evaluation of component technical cleanliness according to the requirements of ISO 16232 / VDA 19.1. The analysis makes it possible to determine the quantity and characteristics of captured contamination and verify the cleanliness of components intended for technically demanding applications.

We evaluate both the total quantity of captured contamination and its characteristics. We distinguish between particles with and without metallic reflection and also separately inspect the presence of fibres.

Fastener development laboratory

Functional testing of fasteners under real application conditions

The development laboratory focuses on specialised testing of the mechanical, material and functional properties of fasteners. Testing supports the development and verification of fasteners for specific assembly and application conditions.

We perform, for example, measurements of thread-forming torque and ultimate torque, friction coefficient and breakaway torque. Our laboratory capabilities also include hydrogen embrittlement testing according to ISO 15330.
